Deep South Eats: Fruit Salad with Honey Lime Dressing

I love this time of the year because there are so many wonderful fruits at the grocery. You can get strawberries for oh so cheap and the oranges look ready to eat right there in the store. We love to pair meals with fresh fruit when possible and the honey lime dressing in this recipe added an incredible burst of flavor. We were even able to enjoy the leftovers with meals the day after. This would be excellent served at a brunch, a spring time picnic, or with a spur of the moment breakfast for dinner. That is the beauty of this recipe...quick and simple!

Ingredients
  • 1 pint of strawberries, washed and sliced
  • 1 bunch of seedless grapes, washed and removed from stems
  • 1 green apple, washed, cored and cubed
  • 1 orange, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup of pineapple, cut into tidbits
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 limes, juiced
Directions:
  • Gently combine fruit in serving bowl.
  • In a small separate bowl, whisk together honey and lime juice. Pour over fruit and toss gently.
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve.
